And I should have looked as I was wrong as well, 5th among all schools, forgot about ND and Duke as well, still a strong showing

Thanks!

No wonder I couldn't find any corroboration.  That's ATHLETE graduation rate, not STUDENT graduation rate. And it only applies to D1, not all public schools.

Even so, congrats on holding your athletes to high standards (or should I denigrate y'all for giving them all diplomas in underwater basket weaving ???)

I think CWT let some emotion he's learned in the past year get the best of him. Last year and at WKU he shrugged off rivalry games saying every game is a rivalry game. Only a fool wouldn't want to be like a program at the top of the conference, with only 1 in conference loss in 2 seasons. It's like he's saying he'd rather be a bottom dweller which so far he's doing very well.

I take it differently. ucf's success has come against the bottom dwellers of our conference currently, and the bottom dweller's of what's left of conference USA now. The absolute garbage of college football. Is that what we are striving to be? We want to be the best player on the field because we are 21 years old playing against 16 year olds?

Taggart wants to build a program that can compete with anyone, beat anyone on any given night, and get out of this god forsaken conference.

Baylor wasn't a bottom dweller.

No they weren't, but outside of last year UCF's success is strictly against exactly what I said. A few years ago they won the CUSA championship, won like 10 games or something like that and didn't beat a single team with a winning record. That's not what I want to be sorry.

CUSA has a conference championship game so explain how they won that against a team with a losing record. Your facts seem to be askew. Leavitt, won the big games, lost in conference, never sniffed a BCS game, never ended the season ranked. UCF ended the season ranked, in CUSA.

And if UCF palyed in the same Big East that we played in they never would've sniffed a top 25 ranking let alone a conference championship.

My facts seem to be askew?

2010 UCF 11-3, Conference USA Champions

Who they beat and record that season.

  • FCS South Dakota: Who Cares
  • University of Buffalo: 2-10
  • UAB: 4-8
  • Marshall: 5-7
  • Rice: 4-8
  • East Carolina: 6-7
  • Houston: 5-7
  • Tulane: 4-8
  • Memphis: 1-11
  • SMU: 7-7
  • Georgia: 6-7
Please tell me again what I said is wrong. They won 11 games and not one of those teams had a WINNING record when it was all said and done. Is that what USF wants to be right now in the next few seasons? Yes. Is that what Willie Taggart want to ultimately build this program into? Hell no. He wants to surpass that by a long shot.

I am sure they would have rather played other teams, but that was CUSA, so you play who is in your conference. Playing a 1AA is BS IMHO, even for game 1 if you are  FBS team. So I can't defend that. Buffalo, I have no idea why they played them, it was part of a home/home scheduled a long time prior IIRC.

4-5 players from that  team are playing in the NFL, so playing losers or not, they had good players in my opinion

Of course they'd rather play better teams. My point is no one can sit here and tell me that a season like that is absolutely amazing and that UCF should be talked about in very high regards for something like that. In conference USA it doesn't exactly take a heck of a team to win that conference. Taggart's goal for USF football goes far beyond beating up on Tulane, SMU, Tulsa, etc.

And you assume UCF's doesn't or didn't want to play better teams? They didn't want a Big East invite? Just give up. No team preps to just beat bad teams. If they did, UCF would have been beaten down by Baylor.

Haha what are you saying...? I assume UCF didn't want to play better teams?  :wtf:  does that have to do with anything? I pointed out one of their seasons where they won 11 games was not impressive AT ALL and that came along with a conference championship in an awful conference. I guess you can't comprehend that? I never said they just prep to beat bad teams. I never even said they couldn't beat a good team that season. All I said was they didn't beat a team with a winning record all year and you're for whatever reason having an incredibly hard time grasping that fact.

We can hope! He is an engineer......you get the profile. I could be dying and he would be examining every variable!

They are both great sons, I am very fortunate!

Take a look at how many key playmakers and how much experience they lose. Plus how much longer will GOL go? They will fall back to reality soon enough

Bianchi is an idiot. They have enjoyed a nice run. Now just shut up and enjoy what is left of it.

u guys said the same thing after Blake Bortles & Storm Johnson declared early

And you took a step back

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
