Yeah, I think he will restore a lot of faith in the fanbase and the heat goes away fast. 

 

We can say we finished 6-6 with a win over UCF. That is a great outcome all things considered. 

 

Hell, even 5-7 with a win over UCF is tremendous progress.

Would def take the heat off the coaching. 

However nothing indicates that we will run the table based on what we have seen the past 2 years.

 

 

We seriously need the extra practice time that is allowed for teams participating in Bowl games.  4 years in a row  of missing a bowl has hurt in that aspect.

It would lessen the heat, but not remove it.

Right now he has a lot of selling to the fan base and probably the donors that his brand of football can #1 win and #2 put fans in the seats.

He'd look like he was making progress and the heat would be dampened significantly.

 

Never going to happen.

I still think we beat SMU, the other two are probably ugly.

Sure it would. And if that happened, we'd definitely being seeing some real improvement on the field compared with recent weeks. The chances of that, however, seem very slim.

Absolutely it would.

By the way:

Based on performance so far, I would not get overconfident about SMU. They are probably looking at USF as their best chance for a W. It also seems like we are getting worse on defense with each passing week.

I think if we lose to UCF at home, that may be all she wrote. I hope our guys get up for that game. I think that game means everything.

USF is gonna have to work really hard to come up with next season's gimmick then. More new helmets? New colors? New logo? New catch phrase. Barf.
