We went. Smaller crowd than in previous years. They had a great yard sale on UA clothes and shoes. Picked up some nice stuff for both of us at a very good price. Got basketball posters signed by each player and coaches. As for the team, we left after the autograph signing and, up to that point, there was only shooting contests between some players on each team. I don't know if there was anything else done later. I hat a chance to speak with all the players and they looked very fit and appeared to be in playing shape.

Something tells me "playing shape" for Coach O is a lot more fit that it was for CSH. Hope these guys can keep up the pace for 40 minutes!

I read on Twitter there was a frat dunk contest, with Perry and Ziegler as judges. Sounds like it was a fun time!

Were they using trampolines?

How many non-schollie students can dunk a basketball?

The winner did bring the house down though.  Believe he went through the legs, off the board and slammed it home.

Now for the bad news.  There was a 3 point shooting contest, 4 men who competed against each other and 4 women against each other.  The women did pretty well.  The men?  Meh, as some of you say.  Our new 3 point stud, Holston, made 4 out of 25.  Didn't reach the 2nd round.  AC and Cory Allen Jr won their rounds and moved on to the final with Allen winning but AC made more shots. Not sure how the kid on the court was counting.  But the numbers weren't staggering, like 6 or so but the kid came up with 11. Maybe he was counting a non-existent money ball.

Cousin...that is what I was afraid of when I saw Allen won the shooting contest.  Nothing against him, I love his effort and desire, but if he is our best outside shooter...well meh.  As for Holston hopefully it was nerves as I know plenty of guys at the gym that can shoot much better then that if nobody is guarding them.

Here is hoping to a surprisingly good season.
