The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

The Good - Second half offense, Andre Davis, and Special teams

 

The Bad - the first half of the game

 

The Ugly - The defense gave up 488 yards and most of the stops were because Tulsa shot itself in the foot with penalties.

 

Prognosis: This game once more indicates that USF is following its 2004 season, wildly inconsistent, Defense is border line overall, there are positive signs, bowl game is probably not going to happen, the ride continues and gradual improvement is shown

The Good - The offense was rolling for the first time, which took a lot of pressure off the defense.

 

The Bad - I don't know, there was only good and ugly.

 

The Ugly - The first half of the game, the team looked horribly flat and not ready to play.

Good- 2nd half offense. Special teams. Getting a much needed win. Two special players on offense on Mack and Davis and Johnson looks like he could really be a great back behind Mack.

Bad - first half offense and defense.

Ugly - turnovers.

Had we lost, the program would have taken another shot in the chest. Resuscitation may have not been possible.

Good - Biggest comeback ever for USF.

 

Bad -  5 - 10 yard cushions on Tulsa WR's every play.

 

Ugly - 2 bad turnovers.  They should have cost us the game.

+1.  This was a huge win. I know it wasn't against a great team.  But it is much better to beat a bad team than to lose to them.

 

Ugly.  Giving up almost 500 yards of offense.

The bad: I fell asleep in the 4th quarter.

 

The ugly: I woke up and check the score...saw we lost go back on to check another score a couple minutes later...I was looking at the UCF score earlier. We won.

Bad - Why our lines were getting their asses handed to them on nearly every play of the first half.

I just don't understand why, as football players, no one seems to want to HIT somebody with the other jersey on. Way way way to many opportunities to knock somebody's jock side ways, and we're slapping at the ball. I understand the turnover idea, but if his hands and arms hurt to bad to hold the ball, he'll drop it. And if you hit him hard enough, enough times, he's not looking forward to running at you.
