Are we going to have permanent yearly crossover matchups with a team in the West like the SEC, or is that a thing of the past?

Only a guess but I'm thinking we'll rotate the western teams.  Sure hope so anyway. Would like to make the trip to all of those places other than maybe Tulsa.  Navy, New Orleans, Houston, Dallas are all places that would be good to visit on occasion.

Edit: And don't see any real rivalries amongst those in the west to pair off on a regular basis.

i believe there was talk about putting us and ucf in different conferences, so they would have permanent cross division rivalry games so would play them every year.

To be honest, this is what I was thinking would happen.  I'm actually a bit surprised we are in the same division.

No yearly crossover matchup since USF-UCF, UH-SMU, Cincy-UConn are already in division.  It will be 3 crossovers on rotation.

Conference title game will be played at home of the highest seed.

You would think it would make more travel sense to have Navy in the East and UC in the West

If there's a head-scratcher in there, it seems to be universally agreed that that is it.

I'm not just surprised, I'm actually angry.

I wanted USF and UCF in different divisions, so the championship game could come down to the two of us most years, and we could beat them twice.

Like Texas / Oklahoma, Michigan/ tOSU, or UF/ Bama

eh, I'd prefer winning or losing to them just once a year.

I'd honestly be okay losing to them twice in a year, but beating them in regular season and then them beating us in championship game would result in a skyway jumping party.

let's just get back to crushing them once a year and not even allow them a reason to boast about reaching a championship game.

Hoping for that really for the same reason, but for whatever reason, I'm not angry about it.
