Sounds like a good hire but definitely not a homerun - would be interesting to know who they interviewed.

I will say the Tulane fanbase really wanted him back as their head coach.

New @USFBaseball coach Mark Kingston's contract is for 6 years at $140,000 annually, school says.

For comparison, from Prado's last  contract extension:

"Prado's compensation will remain the same as it was for the 2010-11 season, with a base salary of $99,679, plus. $32,500 from USF's contracts with Louisville Slugger and Under Armour for a total compensation of $132,500 per year"
