Hopefully the Big 12 will evaluate USF (and other schools) over the long-term, rather than just the previous season.

 

And yes, they did pick up TCU - jumping away from the Big East - after one really amazing season. Of course other major factors impacted that decision (especially audience and location), but it also helped for their program to be on an upswing. 

 

TCU's not really the same. They went to two consecutive BCS games and won the second, and they used to be a power in the SWC. They also have some history having national championships several decades ago, plus they've sent a ton of players to the pros.

Not that the guy got a pass for being in a wheel chair, its just why he was moving during the press conference. He was not able to navigate behind the scenes due to the chair restrictions.

 

The question was along the lines of "Hey we have heard this all before, what are you specifically going to do to?"  That is summing up a very long question.  His reply was basic; let me find out the problems first, then I can tell you our plan.

Well, he definitely seems comfortable in front of a crowd. No idea how he'll do because I'm not a seer, but I'm looking forward to him giving it a shot. I hope he does indeed have the gall to come in and make some bold choices. For good or bad, I think stagnation and trepidation will get us no where in this bizarro sports environment. I think it's time to take a few chances and stretch a few budgets.

Harlan is going to be a great improvement. I can't think of much bad to say at this point, though I wish I had the opportunity to chat with him one on one because I'd really like some clear answers on some issues. That being said, I know on day one it is tough to be as directed you might want.

I did think it was interesting how he said we would be cutting down nets in five years. As opposed to anything football related...

Just watched Bulls Cast replay, has no Q&A, only the introduction and prepared remarks. Still would like to know what the long awkward question was that everyone is talking about.
