I don't want him fired this minute, and I wasn't expecting us to beat Memphis, but the team has been the same story for most of his tenure. Ugly, bad, horrid offense and decent to solid defense.

We've had 2 okay seasons out of 7. He did win a tournament game (I'm not going to count that play in, that's another story).

Is that enough to keep him around? I think it might be time for a change.

He'll be gone after this year, this team is bad and they need a different philosophy

Heath Looks to Dominate with Added Depth

Head coach Stan Heath wants to make the Bulls an up-tempo team and he has the numbers to make it happen in 2013-14 thanks to a strong recruiting class.

“I feel good about playing at a much faster pace and playing with much more pressure on the defensive end,†Heath said.

USF coach Stan Heath confident Bulls will be competitive in new American Athletic Conference

South Florida's Stan Heath looks at the rest of the American Athletic Conference and sees no reason why the Bulls shouldn't be competitive.

While defending national champion Louisville, Connecticut, Memphis, Cincinnati and Temple all have tradition-laden programs with talented rosters that could make winning in the rebranded league difficult, Heath isn't conceding anything to the competition.

"I love the fact we're in a real true conference and play everybody twice," Heath said, noting that playing in a 16-team Big East didn't afford the same opportunity.

"We talk about it a little bit, but don't want to dwell on it too much. That was two years ago," said Rudd, the team's leading scorer (12.3) and rebounder (6.9) last season. "We've really got to focus on not being what we were last year."

This guy needs to be on the hot seat immediately. I bet there are better basketball players somewhere on USF's campus that can at least make some free throws and layups

I think the new AD will have to give the MBB program a lot of thought. I can't imagine Stan getting beyond next year if there isn't considerable improvement in 2015.

But I'd be mildly surprised if Stan is fired at the close of 2014.

It sucks to suggest that he needs to go, I have a "soft spot" for him because of the NCAA run. One of the coolest experiences ever.

But, dude has proven he has a complete ineptitude for offense. News flash, it's reallllllly hard to win games scoring 60 every game, every year. We have the talent to run, and frankly don't have the talent to keep the other team under 60, If we had the same record but were scoring +10 ppg more we probably wouldn't be calling for his head.

I have a feeling we'll be saying the same thing about Taggart.

Nothing will happen until a new AD is in place.
