What's Cosh doing now?

On another thread it's mentioned he's still getting paid by USF. Any real jobs?

I don't remember him happening onto any other jobs after getting rightfully canned here, so I'm thinking he took a season-long, paid vacation, and he'll be back in the job force somewhere, once the gravy train runs out ...

I think I saw somewhere that he is the D line coach at Buffalo this year.

Wasn't Cosh only the last year of the Holtz New Era?

Still Skip's responsibility, for those that still believe in the concept.  He hired him.

You mean the year he needed to turn around the team to keep their jobs? And I have no idea what happened the prior year. It was like a different team arrived week 5 and switched places. Did the beat down by Pitt week 5 make the team lose their collective confidence for the rest of the season? The next 3 games were 1 score losses. Is that what happened this year? The team has no confidence it can win?

Regardless, it's the past. The future needs to change.

Ugh. I was at that Pitt game. Front row seats at the 50 were like 25$. Their atmosphere is even more pathetic than ours. Half the crowd was WVU fans talking crap on Pitt.

That said, I don't understand what happened that game. Utter domination. What a joke.

Skip left the offense in such shambles, sans BJ, that I would wager he'd have the same results that Taggart did. A spread guru could've had some success here last year, and I still think is our best fit overall, but neither Taggart nor Holtz are spread aficionados and both would (and have) sucked.

Debating on who would've sucked more is silly...

He had a 4 star QB lined up and USF would have had Sterling Griffin, who transferred to LATech so the offense wouldn't have been the same as when CWT arrived.

You don't fix the the 5th worst offense in all of college football overnight (or in a year) unless Quinton Flowers is the next Johnny Manziel and in that case Manziel wouldn't be half the player he is in Taggart's system. It's going to be another tough year to watch on offense and maybe we can think about having an average offense the year after that.

College football teams have had new coaches come in, have anywhere between 0 and a couple wins and in year two have 5+. Its not unheard of at all. But then again, I don't know particulars of what changed in between those seasons.

Rebuilding an O has to start with the line. Only way to compensate for a terrible line is to have a very athletic QB, like we always had before BJ was injured. With our current talent, we better have a super-mobile QB or superstar RB.

We finally have a chance to have a "real" offensive system...lets' be honest, the Leavitt + Holtz era was a lot of BS Sandlot plays (QB scramble/read option/ get lucky once in a while with a deep ball) - CWT's offense has the markings to give the program an identity and reputation...CWT comes with a good support system and the bus will be rollin' again.

I don't think he realized the bus was rusted out and the engine was blown when he got her.
