Joey Knight just confirmed that Lynch is gone, signed with an agent, and will declare for the NFL Draft.

For some reason I cannot copy and past the Tweet, but it is on Tampabay.com's website.

Best of luck to him, Godspeed, may the wind be at his back, and all that.  Now, moving on ...

Can't honestly say that this is a big loss.

Good luck to him.

Hope he puts on for USF in the league.

Can never be a bad thing to have kids from USF going into the NFL.

Unless he has one hell of a combine, I can't imagine him getting taken sooner than the 4th round.  And that will only be based on his one year at Notre Dame.

That is, if he even lists us as his school.  He's known more for his brief tenure at Notre Dame than anything else.

Best of luck. He will make money riding pine next year and get a year closer to his 2nd contract which is now when the big money is made.

Only problem he has is he will have to rely on a great combine. He's not going to get a guaranteed roster spot going in the 5th round or later. The way that he was moved around I think a 3-4 team will take him. One of the Buddy Ryan disciples will like his athleticism.

But I can't blame a kid for wanting 400k or so next year over playing in college. Don't think he's making a Darrell Scott like mistake. Possibly closer to Carlton Mitchell.

Honestly, this will prove to be the biggest loss of the offseason.

Biggest loss in relation to other departing players (including those that are graduating)?

Even with that I would disagree.
