He will make money riding pine next year and get a year closer to his 2nd contract which is now when the big money is made. Only problem he has is he will have to rely on a great combine. He's not going to get a guaranteed roster spot going in the 5th round or later. The way that he was moved around I think a 3-4 team will take him. One of the Buddy Ryan disciples will like his athleticism. But I can't blame a kid for wanting 400k or so next year over playing in college. Don't think he's making a Darrell Scott like mistake.
