CPR, to be fair, USA came pretty friggin close to evening up Germany today in the closing minutes.  So you were certainly wrong about "no chance against Germany." 

 

Anyway, great job USMNT, let's get 'em in the round of 16.  Hopefully Jozy will be ready by this Tuesday.

Yes, we had 1 chance to tie the game up, but Germany had at least 4 or 5 legitimate goal chances. I watched the game on espn3 at work and they were clearly the better side. Doesn't matter though, a loss today is good enough to move on and play a winnable game against an underwhelming Belgium team so far. "If" we get passed them, Argentina hasn't looked so good, besides Messi. This is getting exciting.

No doubt Germany is better.  They're probably better than any other team I've watched to date.  Just disagree that we "had no chance."

 

Guy I work with that follows the sport far more closely than I do is worried about Belgium.

Guy I work with that follows the sport far more closely than I do is worried about Belgium. 

 

Yes, before the World Cup started, Belgium was a darkhorse team for me to make a run, but I haven't seen it yet. They have better players than the U.S team, but so far, this WC has been very weird. The best way I can put it is, my dad was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and had a short carrier for a local pro team. He told me the other day, "Son, I know nothing of futbol". These games are unpredictable.
