Agree that we need more qb's...but come on...kid is a true freshman and is showing all kinds of promise...

I'm afraid we won't have good QB play for a while. If Flowers stays committed and he beats out White in the offseason for the starting job hes in the same boat White is in now and will have to go through the "he's just learning the offense", "he is only a freshman" phase. I almost would rather stay with White than have another year where the offense is just spinning it's tires again with a QB who has trouble grasping the offense. This is me just assuming a 1st year player coming in can't grasp the offense due to Taggart continually saying throughout the year whoever is at QB "is still learning the offense".

I am concerned about the learning curve as well. Not only for QB, but for RB and receivers as well.

it doesn't matter what type of offense you run, a freshman will always be behind the curve. game experience wise too. we are not a program that just reloads every year. we have to build for a run every 3 or 4 years. you take your lumps while they gain expereince and learn(at all positions) and then hopefully in year 3 or 4 you make a good run.

Our offense was moribund until white played

imagine the ucf game without him playing. . . . . . . Then remember he was making his 4th start on an otherwise bad team.

basically, go easy on the kid.

I would think White would be our starting QB next season. He has looked the best and not sure a true freshman will beat him out unless we landed a top recruit. We have seen the struggles with learning the offense.
