And this opinion is based on ....? Their academics aren't great and their TV market isn't huge. BB gives them prestige and a fan base. If UAB had a great BB team with the following Memephis does, I would think they would have a just as good a chance and they even have a larger tv market. Will they be able to compete in the B1G in Football and Basketball next season? They will be fine. We played Michigan State close (#2 Big 10 team). Their basketball is overrated too minus 3 teams. Define "part." I think the B1G is banking on Rutgers' future midwest competition bringing more eyeballs to Rutgers football, but that's a big gamble in my opinion. Came out in 2011. What's the source for that table? Based on activity at the alumni bars, I don't think that the chart is accurate. UF has a very large following in NYC.
