I hope to never see Pierre in the backfield again. He never seams to get any yards after first contact.

Don't let deters hear that. Pierre is his man crush.

Davis looked solid today.  I think we'll be seeing more of him, even when Shaw gets back.

This guy ran hard in the spring game! I was wondering what happened to him.

I'm a realist and there is a reason Pierre was the #2 coming out of fall. He had good production at JUCO and I'm not gonna count out and label a player as bad while only being 39 carries into his USF career. Just like I wont label Davis and Tice the RB saviors after less than 20 carries each in their respective careers.

And what you've seen from Davis and Tice is so great you are willing to give up on another player?

Pierre has 39 carries in his career. Tice has 16. Davis has 10. But hey, I'm sure everyone on here is such an elite scout and has such high knowledge of the game they are ready to crown a true freshman and a redshirt sophmore the next AP and CJ2K after a combined 26 carries...

Davis was a stud in Metro Atlanta. He had offers from South Carolina, Louisville, Clemson, Florida, FSU, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Memphis, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Penn State, UCF, USF and Vanderbilt. His brother James set the Freshman RB TD record at Clemson, had the most 100 yard games as a true freshman at Clemson (4) and led the ACC in yards for a freshman RB. He doesn't only have talent, Willie has pedigree.

Willie Davis was an all-state selection and region MVP, posted almost 2,000 yards and 25 TDs during his last two seasons. Earned all-state, all-county and region MVP honors as a senior, posted over 1,300 yards and 22 TDs, while catching 21 passes for 175 yards and four scores. Rushed for nearly 700 yards and three TDs as a junior, while playing in just six games.

Its hardly a surprise he ran so well. They have a kid in GA who has passed Hershal Walker's high school record. I wonder when he goes to college and runs well someone is going to say they aren't ready to say he's a great runner after 20 carries. Matter of fact, that run by Willie Davis put of the end zone was much like Herschal Walker's first run at UGA, a power run that was amazing.

The only thing I can think of is that he gets stripped in practice.

The only thing I can think of is seniority. This is Pierre's last year. But after watching game tape I don't know what could make them not start him and when Shaw comes back share the load with him. He is a power back with speed and ball carrier vision.
