It does seem odd to leave out Eveld from the injury update, but maybe coaches want to stay away from giving out too much info to UConn re: helping them with their game prep?  It looked like a high ankle sprain, but I've heard nothing for certain.

The only thing injured is his ability to play QB.  We need to go with Mike White and give this team a chance to win games this year.  It sure seemed like Bench was more injured on the sideline then a few days/weeks out judging by his reaction to the doctors.

Fantastic avatar, bro. You can't go wrong with Muttley.

:roflmao:

Funny quip aside, not sure you can deny that Eveld made some pretty solid throws in the game last week, including a pass to Derrick Hopkins that would have been a fantastic TD were it not dropped.

He played very well, threw the ball well and with some nice velocity on the sideline throws. The pass to Hopkins was pretty and shouldn't have been dropped.

Eveld also was able to avoid the disaster sack (and maybe a fumble) by sneaking away from the rush and throwing the ball away when no play was to be made. He also was positioning players not in the right spot before the snap.  I think has played as well as we could expect given his physical limitations.

True, but a few times he ran way before he needed to.

Idk, he's got cement shoes...takes him a good while to "get away" to avoid a sack. He's not as quick as BJ or even Bench is.

Good gosh yes, it's like watching a semi get up to speed without the mass of a semi. He's not an athletic runner--too lanky.
