LOL. He is 3 games removed from a SB loss. He would have to be historically bad and even then for some reason Harbaugh likes McCoy? But I would love to see Daniels play. Leavitt came out last year and said that had he been the coach at USF for Daniels' entire career that he would have blossomed into a great QB. I believe it.

Depends on how bad he looks. If he plays for another month like he did the last couple games, they may rest him for a week due to a fake injury. I would have to think that if he went down or they needed another starter that they would strongly consider starting BJ over McCoy.

It may not look great a few years down the road that they dumped Smith to keep this kid who hasn't played a full season yet, it is not showing the improvement everyone seem to expect.

But I could also say that had I been the coach Daniels' entire career he would have blossomed into a great QB.  Doesn't make it true.

He thought the world of BJ and said he was clearly better than Matt Grothe (although Marquel thought Matt was a great QB).
