Teams can still wear throwback uniforms, but they must use their current helmet.  The Bucs would look ridiculous wearing the Buco Bruce orange uniforms with pewter helmets though.  

 

I doubt you will see many teams doing the throwback unless the current helmet works with the throwback.  Maybe a team like Green Bay or Cleveland could pull it off.

Ah thanks for the heads up.  That would be totally weird!.

 

I did have this idea where I wanted to see the current Bucs uniforms but in the old colors as an alternate.  The helmet would have to become white and the flag would have to become orange though.

Its not like they are actually using the helmets from back in the 60's-70's.  The different helmets are the same just different paint.  I guess the paint makes them less safe
