Landi won't make the 53 and will most likely be cut or make the practice squad. Way too many Tight Ends up in NE. Only way he makes the 53 is if he somehow shows more than 2 backups who make too much money.

Not receiving TEs.

The crop of free agent tight ends is meager — Dallas Clark, Chris Cooley, Kevin Boss, Randy McMichael and former Patriots David Thomas and Visanthe Shiancoe.

“I don’t think Clark can stay healthy anymore. He’s 34,†Brandt said. “The guy Shiancoe, they cut him last year so there really doesn’t, on the surface, seem like there’s any tight ends out there.â€

He likes Ballard — “not the fastest guy in the world, but he knows how to catch the ball and he’s a pretty good blocker.â€

They have 4 receiving tight ends on the roster. Fells, Ballard, Gronk, Sudfeld.

Tebow ain't playing TE and Landi isn't making the 53. If he somehow manages to last even a week, he MIGHT get a practice squad look.

Giants have had 2 good seasons in the past decade. Pats are consistently an elite team. the sun shines on a dog's ass once every so often. enjoy the UV rays, boys.

A team who hasn't won a Super Bowl in the last 8 years is considered "elite" ?

a team that has won 12+ games in 7 of the last 10 seasons?

5 of the last 12 SuperBowls, including 2 seasons ago?

played in 7 of the past 12 AFC conference championship games, including 3 of the last 5?

what do u consider elite? cuz by any metric no other team is even close. the fact that the Giants' measuring stick for "greatness" is beating the Patriots only reinforces how great a team they are.

Again, how many Super Bowl rings in the last 8 years ?

Zero. A team to be considered elite right now, better win at least 2 of the last five...at least.

Very good football team who is very far from elite. I bet belicheck agrees with me.

Patriots suck... they only won super bowls because they cheated.

so an elite team has to win 2 of the last 5 superbowls?  LOL. i guess the only elite team in the NFL right now are the Giants, who struggle to make the playoffs every year, who didnt make the playoffs last year, and probably will miss them again this year.

get real. homers will pull criteria out of their arse to convince themselves that the ONLY elite team is THEIR team.

fact is, the Patriots put themselves in the hunt for a SB title every year, and have either been to the SB or to the Conference championship more than any other team in recent memory.

that's elite. to insist there is only ONE elite team in the league, and that that team is one who didnt even make the playoffs last season is sheer homer idiocy.

Bruce is a Jets fan.  What are you doing defending the Giants, Bruce?  Is it just a New Yahk thing?

Wow, really? I thought I remember Landi being our go-to third down receiver. I agree will likely not make the squad but not because of dropped passes.
