I'd like to welcome our McNeese State fans/members.  Doc has been on board for a while now and we have some others registering.  

 

As pointed to on our Opponents' Message Boards, there is a McNeese fans site named at GeauxCowboys.org.  I'd like to think both fan bases and boards can host great discussion among the fans from each team.  It's the first game of the season, let's start the fun.

 

Treat our guests kindly (not like you do to each other sometimes :) ).

Mcneese can play some ball, just ask MTSU how an opening weekend with the Cowboyz went last year. Mcneese running game looked like old school Nebraska trampling the Blue Raiders.

Just checked out their website. Some of their folks think we are very beatable and not really a BCS caliber team. Can't say I blame them based on last year but I sure hope they are wrong.

I saw McNeese play last year. They can hang with the occasional Sun Belt team for a while (like MTSU was last year).  However this game should not be close at all. They lost to UTSA last year, a second year program playing in their first year of FBS.

They lost to UTSA and we lost to Ball State and Temple.

 

Yeah we should win, but if you're objectively comparing last year's records, we're nothing to write home about.

True.  I think there are times where those who root for other teams might be safer here than those who root for USF. :popcorn:

 

McNeese outplayed USF for almost 3 quarters in 2006 and are usually good so I would never underestimate them.
