Can anyone say "bed bugs"

Went to the Miami game last year. Yes, the U has some bad fans, and yes our team was bad, but the dozen or so fans at the game were nothing but polite. In fact, I was kind of surprised. I will be making my first trip to UCF and expect the worst.

Don't get me wrong. Tonight really sucked.

I have. Last year at Miami was worse. As bad as tonight was I never felt like the team quite like I did that day. Last year I watched players try to walk to the locker room in disgust while the team was still lining up for a FG right before the half. I shared their disgust but was also disappointed that they were quitting on the team and it really showed during the second half when we let Miami run all over us.

I'm going to go out on a limb. Tonight might have been a blessing in disguise. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom and maybe this was the wake up call that the coaches and players needed to right the ship that has been sinking fast for three years. Throughout the game I kept thinking that we could be winning with a few adjustments. I saw the initial 80 yard run, the INT, the way we could move the ball once Bobby came in and the McN had to quite putting the entire D on the line to stop the run. However, we were also plain ugly and embarrassing. If the team can learn from this disaster and overcome then we might actually have a better chance against MSU and our conference then if McN had just rolled over and let us win.

Not really. Skippy's clock management was far worse. For whatever reason Willie believed Matt was our guy. My guess is that Matt's a pretty good kid, plays his heart out, plays tough and makes good plays in practice. However, when he gets in the game he 's probably a nervous wreck and hasn't learned out to overcome it. I don't blame Willie for staying with Matt at the start of the 3rd quarter. Besides, our D was SOOOOOO BAD that it wouldn't have mattered. The D was more much more disappointing because they couldn't function as a team, were out coached and couldn't overcome adversity during the game. They were downright horrible. Did anyone see the look on Willie's face while watching the defense?

McNeese Fan, are you trying to claim that you predicted 53-21? If that's the case then I'd like you to help me with some investments.

I'm still going but my enthusiasm has significantly fallen. Hope they sell beer in the stadium. If its like tonight's game I don't plan on remembering anything after the first quarter.
