The two teams discussed are Rutgers and Louisville. Things like Superbull don't make the cut but Rutgers AD coming out of the closet does. And its well hidden, not on the list of blogs.

That's fine, season hasn't even begun yet. We will see how the tune changes once the year starts.Everyone is touting UL as some kind of powerhouse...did anyone watch last season? How many games they just SQUEAKED by on?

 

They beat UF so they must be a powerhouse...right? right?

 

-They squeaked by us by 2 points in the final seconds of the game

-They squeaked by Southern Miss (4 points)

-They squeaked by Cincy (3 pts in OT)

-They got destroyed by Syracuse 45-26

-They lost to UCONN in triple OT

-They squeaked by Rutgers (3 pts)

 

Does this sound like a powerhouse program to you? Or a program who got the right bounces?

I saw Teddy on an interview last night on ESPNU. Seemed like he was trying to be humble, but I think he was well coached in that.

I didn't see anything that really made me not like him, but I can already tell the way Jessie Palmer was slobbering over him that I am going to be sick about hearing about UL and Teddy Bridgewater after about 2 weeks into the season. I liked him before seeing that interview. Like I said, I can't point to anything specifically, but there is something that struck me as obnoxious about his attitude.

Just goes to show the fine line of a team considered a contender (UL) vs a disaster (USF under Holtz) is a few points in a handful of games. .

So Strong is just lucky and Holtz is unlucky? That's the only difference between them as coaches?
