Maybe Skip mouthed some words about blame and responsibility, but he never fixed the underlying problem.

So where it mattered, no, he never took responsibility.

Oh so now he said it he but since he couldn't find a way to win didn't mean it? Not buying that at all since the outcome of games has so many factors that laying it on the coach 100% is BS and doesn't take into effect the efforts of coaching staffs and players on both sides of the ball. You know how much he loved the area. He was trying everything he could to win during that losing streak just like any coach does.

He never learned to call a time-out, and his clock management and play-calling skills were atrocious.

He got worse over the season, not better.

He was responsible for fixing it and didn't. Ergo, he didn't take responsibility. He just mouthed some meaningless words.

The players were responsible for flawless execution. The coaching staff was responsible for making sure the plan was perfect. The position coaches were responsible for making sure technique was perfect. The AD was responsible for hiring a winning coach. The USF President was responsible for hiring an AD that chooses winning coaches, we can go on and on. In the end one person stepped up and admitted responsibility for everything and was fired for it.

I love everything that CWT does.  That said, I also loved Skip Holtz until some time after the Notre Dame game (I can't remember much after that game).  What year is this and what conference are we in?

Each program is bringing 10 football players to the Media Day. Are the USF players going to be allowed to talk to the media? Did the Sun Belt not do that?

American schools are bringing between two and four players each. USF is bringing two. They certainly can talk to the media while there.

That seems low compared to the past. Are they still going to have a lobster eating contest?
