Will always have a soft spot for them for helping bring us into the Big East.

Has any other school ever put a team into both BB Championship games in the same year before?

Go Cards!!

UConn I believe won both men's and women's in the same year before.

Really going to miss the Big East.

Hope the AAC generates some really good roundball!

Not going to miss Notre Dame though.

Looks like we're going to have UL v. UConn.

Maybe they'll invite us into the ACC after they get there...

Go Cards!

First the Sugar Bowl, not both basketball teams in the championships.

They certainly played their way into the ACC. They've done just about everything right as a program. Wish we could have done the same.

Louisville had already announced it was jumping ship before the team went to the Sugar Bowl and before the NCAA basketball tournaments. They didn't "play their way in" anymore than Rutgers did. That their teams have had a successful year in terms of results is merely a coincidence. The only thing USF could have done to get where Louisville is is have been founded about 50 years earlier and started playing football immediately.

Even though I'm not a big Pitino fan, I was cheering for the Cards.  And even Pitino seems to be softening a little around the edges personality-wise.  Doesn't bother me as much as he used to.

I'm from Kentucky and have family and friends in and around Louisville, Mom's family is primarily in Elizabethtown  and I have couple of cousins who graduated from UofL, one works at the University . Even though I went to UK, as well as USF, I'm still pulling for the Cards just to keep the trophy in-state.

BTW, while I do not want to get on the bash Doug Woolard bandwagon, I'd love to have Tom Jurich running things at USF. The guy has done an amazing job at UofL.
