I was very deflated this year after the miracle run last season. I know we didn't get the center that we needed, but some of the games were pretty bad this year, as bad as I've seen USF in the past, if not worse.

And I'll never forgive the geniuses that scheduled the Sun Dome opener...

All in all, I call it a wash right at this juncture with my faith in Coach Heath and Company: We got to the Dance and that balanced out all the other negatives, including this year. If we didn't have facilities, it would be really depressing. As it is, I'm all right with things.

Okay, we have new facilities and a new class coming in, not to mention new basketball foes next season. Cool. It's ground floor of a new era in USF basketball in my eyes.

Q: Can Coach Stan Heath take us back to the Dance many more times and make USF men's basketball a winning program?

I've been researching and after looking at everything, I have no doubt that he can do it -build USF into a winner.

Will we see streetball? Nope. It's going to be grind-it-out stuff but we will win.

I'll take winning over any style! Winning is everything. You have my full support, Coach Heath!

Some interesting polls and posts from the Razorbacks right when he got fired.

An interesting article from an Arkansas paper last year:

I'm comfortable with him staying for several more years. He has an extremely difficult job, or had, in coaching a non-bball powerhouse in the toughest conference, and yet has given us some quality upsets, and a tourney and NIT appearance. Last year was a disappointment, I know he would agree. However, that seems to be the exception rather than the rule on his resume, and I wanna see what he can do with:

1. new facilities

2. More manageable schedule

3. New recruits

He's a good coach, and the best we can get. Especially now. I believe in him and I see big things coming.

Hopefully big players. :)

Or players who play big, like Alexander and Shahid ...

Old days.

Heath really needs to run an offense or we'll be saying the same things next year at this time.

His offense is about Bigs something he has rarely had over his career they are hard to find and get but we got our first legit Center coming in this year

I wish someone from the Kentucky program could come to USF. They seem to have a system that works great with younger players.

Act like you’ve been there before. Turns out, for many of us, we haven’t been there before.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
