You guys giving DW a pass on his performance as AD and now his comments about USF Athletics should be ashamed.  USF Athletics has been declining since this guy took over and will continue to slide, especially if alumni aren't calling him out on his job performance or pertinent comments.  HE IS ONE OF THE HIGHEST PAID ADs IN THE COUNTRY!!  What should we as alumni, students, parents, etc who all contribute to his lofty salary expect from him? This clown needs to be held to account for everything he does relative to his highly paid position.  Please don't try and give this self-serving neer-do-well a pass!!

So maybe he didn't use the word, but of course he wants to win... there's zero incentive to lose; only disincentive.

I think the word "win" should be used whenever we are talking about our goals as a program.

 

That's really why you play the game to WIN not to participate.

 

But then again, it just sounds like any other politician.  I wouldn't over analyze it.

I agree with the political statement....

 

Doung is NOT DUMB...He would not have the job if he was...so how do we work within the frame work...

 

I learned long ago that a person can only supervise -directly 8 people...so Doug has to depend on his staff and organizational chart...

 

If Doug is to raise this program then he needs people with ideas that can be implimented withing the confines of USF's AD orgizational chart...

 

 

Or the Organizational chart needs to be updated....

 

Our Football program started with a TRAILER....

 

It was suggested SKIPPY was an answer...This did not work out...

 

WE have all this tallent on our BB team...yet struggle...

 

Yet we have very possitive areas in other USF sports  Womens BB, GOLF ETC...

 

IF Footbal money and BB money supports the other sports then for overall success of ALL USF SPORTS is dependent on this life force...

 

Pump BE money to get the HEART of USF SPORTS BEATTING EFFICIENTLY....A heart has a sequence of constractions....IF THE SEQUENCE IS DISRUPTED OUT OF SYNC THERE IS FIBRULATION AN  the person/USF DIES...To GET a heart back into rythim its given an ELECTRIC SHOCK..

AD department Salaries...

 

I don't know the AD's salary structure  but a review might be in order...

 

There is often only a 10% difference in Salary to draw the best TOP  LEVEL employee and a mediocre one...

 

In every Profession there are students who at the top of the class and the botom..

 

A Top Employee is more efficient creative and effective...

 

Conclusion is this WARM bodies do not make a successful program...

 

Let's check and be sure USF is competative....

 

We have new coaches  who can recruit...let make sure the support personnel are in place to make them effective..

I think rebranding comment was regarding new conference name.
