Training Camp at IMG

I was just thinking this yesterday and boom Greg writes about it.  With all the new connections in Bradenton and it being closer yet still far away why not try camping down there instead of Vero.  Makes alot of sense to me, recruiting wise and building on the fan support of Willie T down there.  I'd also go to more spring events there then all the way over to Vero.

Without any research at all, I'd expect IMG to cost at least double what it would cost to train again at Vero.  I don't see us wasting money right now.

Seems like a better idea to be close to the home of Coach Taggart and build some excitement for the season in that area.

I'm pretty sure that on numerous occasions it has been stated that Vero was not much more expensive if any than staying on campus. With that said, I don't think that we should go back over there. Build the base here, not even in Bradenton, but here in Tampa, on campus. JMVHO

I think I saw the same thing, but I'd be suprised if the cost between between here and going to Vero would be that close.

 

Agree that we should be here, especially with the new practice facility.

I like this as well. Keep it local-ish and keep it within our recruiting hotbeds. Who knows the deal that CWT may have struck with IMG to let us camp there. Maybe CWT runs a camp in the off-season next year...or makes some appearences working with the kids...nobody knows. Maybe IMG wants some more press?

 

Vero has been seen and done by some on the team already. If you want to start something new, with a new coach, new system, and bring a team together...a brand new location couldn't hurt. Time for a rebirth
