2013 Football Schedule

Given that we got screwed in the latest round of realignment, I'm suprised that I'm not hating this schedule. I honestly don't care that we replaced Pitt and Syracuse with Houston and UCF. There really isn't a huge difference in the quality of those teams.

 

The key is keeping strong non-conference games on the schedule though. Having Michigan State and Miami on this schedule really helps from a quality standpoint. If those games start to be replaced by Ball State and Toledo and then you replace Rutgers and Louisville with ECU and Tulsa, it starts to get pretty ugly......fast. But at least we can enjoy this year.

with young kids i gotta say i am not a fan of the halloween night game.  gonna be hard to wrestle the kids back inside quick enough to get the game on in time.

I saw ESPN's Thursday night schedule yesterday and we were not on it.

baptism by fire?  are you serious?  no wonder we aren't in consideration for a major conference.  If the majority of our fans see a name like Michigan St and get intimidated by it.

 

Yes Matt, baptism by fire. If you think that we are on par with MSU you are delusional. We went 3-9 last year in a shitastic conference. We won 1 conference game, we won on a miracle in Nevada.

 

MSU 7-6 with wins over: Boise St, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and TCU. Losses: ND, Ohio St., Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, and Northwestern.

People are discounting Michigan St because of one bad year? They went 11-3 in 2011 and 11-2 in 2010. Since Dantonio got there they've only had one year under .500 (6-7). They very well could kick our a**es. Hopefully we hang with them at the very least.
