I had a feeling were were after another back, thought it was gonna be Zo Woodley but this is really intriguing. Someone needs to dose our academic committee though.

 

The year we signed Claude Davis, we passed on his teammate Bilal Powell, who really wanted to play for USF, because of his poor grades. Davis ended up going the JUCO route before coming to USF, while Powell exceded expectations in the classroom and was able to qualify out of HS`and signed with UL. He ended up being a 4th round draft pick wth the Jets. Davis is also now getting a chance to play in the NFL.

 

Sometimes it pays to take a chance.

Any updates onTaj Williams  looks like grades are issues here also???

Looks really strong between the tackles. Remarkably athletic for his size. Not gonna win any footraces but he squares and drops a shoulder into a tackler. His Offensive tape starts at about 2:20.

So does Mr. Swanson want to play DE or FB?

 

On defense, I like the way he wraps up and hangs on, rather than trying to blow up the runner. Like spiderman, once he gets you in his web, you ain't getting out.

 

On offense, I like the way he just puts his shoulder down and powers through.

 

Really hoping and looking forward to seeing this guy on the field as a Bull!!

That tackle at 0:32 was sick.  He's got a real good nose for the ball.  On O, I like that he never stops moving those feet.

Hope he likes what he sees! Would love to have him punching it in from the 2. He could rack up the TDs for sure.

Swanson has apparently canceled plan to visit UCF on Monday. Coming to USF instead. Nice pull Willie.  Rivals tweet->
