Will be interesting to hear the rationale for potentially signing this series.

 

When we need to improve our strength of schedule we go in the opposite direction.

Was the ODU series announced by USF or simply reported on by a reporter?

 

Reported by an ODU reporter that ODU was "negotiating" a series, not that any deal was done.

I get a kick out of the people who think this is a positive. You do realize the conference we're in is weakening, right? This means to stay at the same strength of schedule level that we've had in the past that we'll need to INCREASE the strength of our OOC games. Pretty simple. We're basically going to be in a similar position as Boise has been in. In an awful conference that creates a weak strength of schedule and needing to offset that weak conference schedule with teams of a higher level. This just doesn't make any sense when you consider the future of our conference.

I call BS on that. Do you have any proof that all the strong OOC teams won't play us?

I'd bet a few bucks that a school like Southern Miss, FAU, or FIU would e more than willing to sign a 1 and 1.

ODU makes zero sense.
