We got a Penthouse at the Gatehouse Suites...sleeps 6 and came out to $55 a person. One mile walk to their bar area, and a 1.4 mile walk to the stadium. Good location if you're looking for something (the team hotel is sold out already).

I went to this site but do not see a penthouse option

Alegiant Air has flights now from St Pete (direct) to Grand Rapids (77 miles from East Lansing)  for 119 each way, That is for Firday up and Sunday Back.

Anyone know what the ticket allotment will be for this game? Have an opportunity to get tickets in MSU section but would prefer to be in USF section. Don't want to lose my chance though

Got my tix through Southwest into Flint for $99 each way and a rental car on the cheap through Hertz.  Going up for a week to spread the gospel of USF football and enjoy some local brews on the lake front in Traverse City. You gotta love any town that has a shopping mall in an old insane asylum!  Just hope that if I visit they will let me back out, at least in time for the game.

Haven't booked any plane tickets yet, but just booked a hotel room. All set up at the Howard Johnson in East Lansing, got it for the 6th through the 8th for $116 a night. It's a little farther from the bars and restaurants than the Gatehouse is, but it's only 1.1 miles away from Spartan Stadium. Thought i'd share in case anybody else was looking for anything a bit cheaper and just as close.
