Cozumel, Mexico. Was on a cruise and I stopped by a local tent filled with hand made college football memorabilia and the guy had as many USF stuff as UF, Alabama, ND,etc. I told him that I was surprised he had so much USF stuff and he told me in broken English "why surprised they are a great team". I tought for a second did he really just say that, and then it quickly clicked that he was a good salesman.

I bought one of those lanyard USF bracelets in Cozumel, also on a cruise. No USF fans on the ship though. It was over Thanksgiving, and they were showing the USF/Cincy game (I think it was that game? The Friday night one?) in one of the bars. I was the only one watching. Other people popped in to see if the Karoke was starting up yet lol.

A number of years ago hubby and I went to New York to attend a family wedding.  We were wearing USF gear and at the airport, while picking up our luggage a couple stopped and gave a, "Go Bulls" and horns up.  They were at the airport picking up some family from Tampa.

I got married on June 30th, 2007 (so the summer before the #2 ranking) and our honeymoon consisted of driving to Bar Harbor, Maine and stopping along the way. When we got to Maine we did a little tour of Cadillac Mountain and when we were at one of the stops a lady asked my wife and I if we went to USF (I pretty consistently wear something with USF on it). Long story short, it turned out that the lady was from the first graduating class from USF. We breifly talked, mostly about how much everything has changed, and then we both went on our ways.

Flight attendant on my 15.5 hour flight from Atlanta to Dubai, UAE was a USF grad.  We chatted for a bit about an hour before we landed.

Went to Vegas in December 2010 and the wife and I wore our Bulls shirts out on the strip and we got a bunch of Go Bulls and Horns signs throughout the day. Pleasantly surprised.

Just this past weekend I was at my daughter's basketball game in Portland, Indiana and saw a kid and his father wearing USF sweatshirts.  I talked to the kid for a minute and he said they just moved up there from Tampa on Jan. 1.  He said his sister was a cheerleader there last year but is now in the School of Pharmacy.  I swear I thought I was the only one in Indiana who had heard of the Bulls.

I grew up a Nebraska football fan (saw them win 2 national championships in person and saw them lose at least 3 in person). My dad is from Omaha, and still a Nebraska (and a USF fan).

Back in 1997 or 98 I bought 3 tickets for Washington at Nebraska. Washington was top 25 and Nebraska was top 5. Gameday was in Lincoln, but it wasn't nearly as big of a deal as it is now. It was a USF bye week, I would never miss a USF game to go to another school's game.

The third ticket was for one of my uncles who lived in Omaha, we stayed with his family, so the ticket was our thank you gift. We headed to the game, got their early and went to find a spot near the stadium to sit down and have lunch (my uncle packed a cooler). We found this long picnic table, less than 100 yards from the ESPN Gameday set, there was a couple at one end, and we asked if we could use the other end of the table. The other guy at the table asked what the logo on my hat was (robo Rocky). When I told him, he said it looked familiar, he was a USF grad from the 1970's.

and

on my honeymoon in Paris, ran into a Bulls fan outside the Virgin Mega Store on the Champ Elysees. Talked to him for a while there. Didn't think much about him until the first basketball game this season when he tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I remembered running into him in Paris. His seats are directly behind me.
