Any word yet?

COLLINS-INJURY.gif

Almost looks like #10's knee butted him right on the top of the head, maybe compressing his neck.

No update from USF yet, but Florida Hospital Tampa says Bulls' Anthony Collins was released at 12:40 a.m. after being treated last night

Per GA Tweet Checked out of hospital at 12:40 am. Must mean no head injury or they prolly would have watched him overnight.

Just prior to those injuries I was thinking about how well the team was starting to gel. Of course only at Usf can your two best players complete the 2 sickest alleys you've ever seen and then go down to season threatening injuries on essentially consecutive plays. Apparently when they remodeled the Dome they forgot to remove whatever the curse is that plagues it.

Collins looked groggy all night. Wondering if he came in with concussion symptoms and then the two blows to the head finished him off? Just guessing but seems likely. I hope he's alright for his sake and our next two games sake, UCF then SYR on the sixth... We could drop both

Start whatever bench players we have healthy Wednesday and ride them until they foul out.

Hope he continues to do well!

Unfortunately have been to too many games with moments like that. It's a scary reminder that there are things much bigger than sports.

Kudos to our training staff for doing their job so well, especially with the amount of time it took to get paramedics in.

Totally agree. Great post, training staff seemed to really have it together.

Latest update:

@ESPNAndyKatz: Good news from USF: Stan Heath said X-rays negative but not sure of return for Anthony Collins after leaving Sat game with neck injury.

What was up with the paramedics? I was sitting in the stands and it felt like it took forever for them to get there....Do we not have an ambulance waiting?

I was there also and the response time was a joke! You'd think they'd have paramedics at all sporting events
