Who cares so much about their size. Were talking about were not getting the best offensive lineman. They go elsewhere. Its a combination of size and ABILITY that were not getting.

Many people on this thread have been specifically talking about size, and associating it with the ability to run a pro-style offense. That's why I posted. Obviously we want the best lineman no matter which offense we run. Running a spread or a pro-style will not keep us from getting the best players. Winning or losing matters to recruits more than the style.

The lineman we do get however are better design for the spread and our personel if more fit for the spread as well which is why cannot make a drastic change and risk 2-3 years of losing games before winning. We can go bowling again and flourish in a spread offense much faster than switching. If we adopt a true air attack like I want than were talking about getting really talented kids coming here not because of tradition or winning championships but based on kids knowing they will put up numbers and be talked about in that offense.

Looks like op will get his wish, from sb nation:

Under Jim Harbaugh, Taggart became a proponent of the power run offense, bringing the same attack to WKU. In 2012, the Hilltoppers were the only offense in the Sun Belt Conference not running some variation of the spread option.

Better find a new QB recruit though, does asaintii want to chuck it? If so NC states new coach is the better fit.

Hope he still comes here though.

Watching WKU v Arkansas St. Unbalanced formation with 2 or 3 tight. Very different from what we've seen at USF.

Jordan Lynch nearly ran it as much as he threw it. I don't think Woulard is the type of QB who can throw 30 and run 25 every game. He would flourish under Taggart's offense. Taggart still goes with a dual-threat QB with the combo of a power-running game. As I mentioned in another thread, Taggart and his staff worked wonders on Kawaun Jakes, WKU's QB. IMHO, I think it's 60-40 USF over NC State.

Woulard will fit well in this style of offense.

The O line is going to need to be a lot better under this coach. Lots and lots of run plays with the fb and tight ends blocking. Seems to be runs first two downs in hopes of a short 3rd down situation. They had the highest percentage of 3rd down conversions in the Sun Belt.

Some guy named Toby Gerhart was developed by Taggart, too.
