Personally, I would like Bobby Petrino. Think of this, his stock is down a little bit because of his Harley accident. Also, we are a school were the media will not ridicule his past choices, but we are a big enough school to make some noise with success.

Let's make it happen.

Willie Taggart.

Petrino hasn't left a job in good standing in 9 years... Guy is a cancer.

Taggart would completely lock down the area recruiting wise. Especially if he brought Blackwell back with him which I would assume he would.

No to Petrino - He would leave at the first opportunity, possibly before he even coaches one game.

What about Mario Christobal?

Get the DC from FL Tech ... Willie Tillman.

Personal friend, Purdue Alum and has strong connections with Grothe, Alstott & Brees.

List of guys who would fit in the budget and whose names I haven't heard on here. I prefer younger guys, no retreads

Darrell Hazell - Spent some time in the old big east and at Ohio State. Had a good year as HC at Kent State

Mike Bobo - Current OC at UGA

Manny Diaz - Just completed 1st year as DC at Texas. From Miami

Brent Venables - DC at Clemson. Spent years under Stoops at OU

Mike MacIntyre - Has done a good job turning around San Jose State (1 win in 10, 5 in 11 and 10 this year). Former DC at Duke and DB coach w/Cowboys & Jets

I don't think Petrino would come here, but I think it would be a win-win. He has never had recruiting violations and his kids have never had grade issues. He would bring in a great brand of football.

He knows he would be on a short leash.

He messed up the way he handled the Falcons, but no way did he leave UL or Arkansas in bad shape.

I just looked up the record. Louisville started Kragthorpe's first year as a top 10 team with 14 returning starters from an 11-1 season and an Orange Bowl victory where they finished 5th in the country. That is not leaving a program in bad shape. Kragthorpe ****** up the golden goose he was handed.

Wasn't Arkansas ranked in the top 10 this year to start the season? They finished last year ranked 5th and had 13 returning starters with the best offense in the SEC. How is that leaving a program in bad shape?

Yes, he created turmoil off the field when he left, but everytime there is a coaching change there is turmoil.

you don't think our program is in turmoil now? Maybe winning may calm some turmoil down around here.

If we can't get Petrino, a guy like Taggart or Smart would be great.
