I don't know. I think it's time USF stops trying to look for a big name to hire and instead tries to create one. By that I mean we should hire a young, unknown coach with a lot of passion.

I would be find with Taggart or Magee. Doesn't Taggert have Blackwell on his staff? If so , that would be good.

I like Butch Davis. I liked his style of teams on the field. Admittedly, I am not an expert though.

Its not going to be Petrino. Not with his employment history. I still say go after a BCS coach with proven experience. Is Gene Chizik worth considering? He had a BCS championship recently.

We need a coach that has never been a head coach before. The new coach needs to have a fire burning to succeed. I'd also prefer a defensive mind.

My considerations:

Rich Bisaccia (Chargers Special Teams, locally recognized name)

Manny Diaz (Texas DC) - also a Miami native

Justin Wilcox (Washington DC)

Pat Narduzzi (Michigan State DC)

Bud Foster (VA Tech DC) - Tech has ranked outside the top 12 nationally in total defense only once in the past eight seasons
