Motivational Speach Before UM Game...

Great speech by Jordan Zimmerman, one of our own (and a big supporter of USF), but if I watched the reaction of our football team before the game I could have told you that we would have received an _ _ _ whooping. If Jordan Zimmerman couldn't motivate you, then you have no shot.

Zero enthusiasm and zero energy is what I heard from our team.

"Will power" will push someone through the tough times when executing a plan. Unfortunately Holtz has no plan.

At least we didn't break Jordan's heart in the last three minutes of the game.

I would personally not want a motivational speaker talking to me before a game. I had the game plan solely on my mind during my time in the sun, hoping I would get my opportunity to step on the field for a kickoff, a play on offense, etc. Skip would have been better off starting Monday practice with Jordan out there as to get them in the right frame of mind.

I can't fault Skip for trying... but man, he struggles as a speaker. Coach Leavitt, a man of few words, was extremely powerful when he spoke to us. I didn't like Leavitt, but I would run through a wall for the guy after he talked to us.
