Brian Kelly is a horrible recruiter, he wins off former coaches recruits... same thing happened in Cincinnati, and when he left, he left the cupboard completely bare, hence the 4-8 season after he left there for ND. His only hope of sustaining success at ND is the fact that ND recruits 5 star players just off their name alone, but he self admittedly said at Cincinnati that he doesn't like to recruit and that it isn't a strong point of his.

who cares if he can recruit, he's an excellent coach and is at ND! Just the name of the school recruits all the talent you need.
