For what it's worth. Our best win of the year was a 3-0 match against FGCU. If we were to make it through the round, we would face Tulsa who we beat 2-1 earlier in the year. Yes. The conference is about as good in soccer as it is in basketball. There's 8 Big East teams in the tournament. That means that one of the teams that made the BE tourney didn't make the NCAA's, right?

We had wins against multiple NCAA Tournament teams, too. Michigan, FGCU, Tulsa, St Johns, and SMU. We also tied several tournament teams.

The Bulls are led by Leston Paul (3g, 6a) and Robert Alterio (5g,1a). Five of the Bulls' last eight matches were against opponents whose RPI was in the top 43 in the country. In total, USF played nine of the top 43 teams in RPI. The trip to the NCAA Championship is USF’s sixth in a row, with the Bulls reaching the quarterfinals last year before losing by a goal in overtime. http://www.bigeast.org/News/tabid/435/Article/239107/Eight-BIG-EAST-Teams-Selected-to-the-2012-NCAA-Men%E2%80%99s-Soccer-Championship.aspx

This could be a blessing in disguise. The guys could very well have fresh legs and could make a nice run. Good luck Bulls!
