USF is in last place on the field and in the classroom. I could see giving Skip some slack if our players were leading the BE in greaduation rates but we are sitting at the bottom.

Sad.

Wake Up Doug and Judy.

Just to add a little perspective ....

Overall, the graduation rates in football and men's basketball have reached or exceeded 70 percent. Men's basketball is at 74 percent, up six points from a year ago, while football is at 70 percent. These figures reflect GSRs for student-athletes who started college in 2005.

The NCAA’s Graduation Success Rate includes transfer students and student-athletes who leave in good academic standing, unlike the federal graduation rate, which does not count transfers. The GSR and federal rate calculations measure graduation over six years from first-time college enrollment.

these are the players that started college in 2005. that's it. skip had absolutely nothing to do with the players that were recruitd in 2005.hell he got here 4 years after they started college.

I think we may be reaching a bit here. Give me the numbers since Holtz took over.........I would bet that the percentage has been on the uptick.

Given that overall student graduation rates in 6 years is around 51% at USF, and that only 2 universities in Florida (uf and fsu) were higher than 70% I am generally unconcerned about this particular stat as it pertains to the football or basketball teams. Link below.

Also, if the sole metric to be concerned about is graduating within 6 years then you can get there by offering more jock only classes or jock only majors.
