I have no inside info to the locker room... I've just had direct conversations with 4-5 players on both sides of the ball that implied the team has quit on the staff.

Have any more insight like why they are quitting on the staff?

****. There is obviously a lot of negativity around the program right now, but I hate to hear things like this. I just saw this tweet from Eatmon too...

L.O.E â€@BigEasy_70

Times like this make me wanna just say f#@& it and give up but i cant/wont do that cause i got too much and too many people counting on me

That tweet is deafening...

Ouch.... no questions about it, the players don't have motivation. Maybe they can pull themselves back up, but with a tweet like that I doubt USF will get another win unless there is a change somewhere in the staff.

Or somewhere in the lineup. I'm not defending skip, but if someone on the team has quit on his coach, then he's a quitter, period, end of story.

Agree completely. Plenty of things to play for besides a coach ... yourself, your teammates, your school. Even Colby played his little heart out ................ when he was healthy.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
