A moral victory is one that five years from now we say "remember when we were still in it against ______ going into the fourth". A moral victory is not playing a team better than us and recognizing improvement. No one in there right mind things we have a #5 team in the country this year. The fact we could compete is a huge improvement over losing to Ball State. That isn't a moral victory, that is simply an assessment of our current predicament based on field performance.
