So...how bigs the band this year? for those in the know?

I've been out of town and a little out of touch with the band since on tour.

They mic'd yet? Cause they should be!!! Regardless!!!

Is 8_va joking about the microphones? I thought several years ago he was against the idea (i.e., making us look as impotent as the other U's band). I've had seats in various locations over the years (but not in the upper decks). Walking around RayJay I can hear HOT clearly, even from the parking lots before/after the game. I know alot of you disagree and I admit there certainly could be some acoustic dead spots. I don't want to rehash those old arguments; I'm just surprised by 8_va's current stance. Maybe it was a joke that flew right over my head . . . if so, NEVERMIND. GB!!

I think he might have gotten a bit more experience.... now adays most bands are mic'd.... hell even UF and FSU mic their bands. As for RJS... I sit in the south endzone and you can't hear HOT at all from their seats.

I'm on the 50, east side, and I can barely hear them.... All I hear is noise and not tone.... They should be mic'd, maybe at a lower volume, but mic'd none the less

I sit in the South endzone... or should I say I used to sit in the South endzone and while there I could not hear HOT for ****... if the crowd chatter does not drown them out then its the ****** PA announcer talking over them while they are trying to get the crowd into the game and pumped up.

They should be mic'd up so you can hear the band over everything... its also not an amateur thing, Texas A&M, U of Texas, LSU, VT, and UGA are some big name programs that have mic'd up their bands.

pretty sure those mics are for tv not the stadium.

HOT needs to be out of the corner and in the endzone, in the middle of the student section, not an afterthought
