I didn't know booze is considered a "luxury" item in emergencies like hurricanes...I thought booze was a "necessity" during hurricanes!

Current gas price increases may not be illegal until state of emergency is declared, but it still seems wrong taking advantage of folks' hurricane fears today. Liquor stores can jack up prices for booze without being charged with illegal price gouging!

My daughter's friend is a barmaid at one of the bars at Channelside--she said they are getting slammed right now with the republican conventioners and also cruise ship passengers kept in port because of Isaac threat out in gulf...they're drinking like there's no tomorrow.

Isaac is exploding off the coast of Cuba. The warm water coming off the Bahamian Platform is fueling it's rapid re-intensification. This thing has a lot of juice in it. Miami/ Ft Lauderdale are going to get drowned.
