Say what you want about this guy, but we really could have used him.

If he wasn't an absolute headcase, I'd agree with you.

Kid was cancerous to the program.

Could not disagree more.  He is exactly the type of guy Taggart has spent the last year trying to purge from the program.

We're all in agreement, the longer this thread goes the more likely it is he ends up with us, right?

My question is, does his current behavior warrant any acknowledgement of the possibility that he has learned from his previous mistakes(another chance)? By letting his actions speak for them-self by not communicating with the media in regards to his recruitment status as well as closing all of his social media accounts.

I would think that is a pretty big deal considering this could possibly be the biggest moment of his life in terms of achievements and notoriety. I think that shows humility, which is a good sign of growth in terms of maturity and a lesson we all have to learn at some point in life. Look at all of the drama that some of the other recruits put fans, coaches and media through just for attention. It seems like he realized his mistake and is trying to correct the situation.

Is it enough? What else could he do to show that he has learned from his past mistakes?

Are immature comments made by a 17 yr old really so bad that their actions cannot be redeemed?

I think everyone's just sh-tting on the kid because he de-committed.

He's got a good background, good family, and he at the very least knows how to put on a good face. I'm sure he's made mistakes but he is actually an underage child I would remind people. He remains to this day a pretty **** good prospect.

Glad to see you back CK!

I've been waiting for your unbiased professional opinion in regards to our recruits. When you get a chance I'd love to hear what you think about some of the kids we just signed. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised as CWT and Co. have an eye for talent IMO.

I agree about everyone writing him off already.

As for his personal life, I'm not very familiar with it but I still think he is nowhere near some of the other problem players/recruits we have all seen/heard of over the years, Willie Williams!!

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
