I don't get it. I thought the $10M kicked in when a new school JOINED the conference - as in 7/1/13. If the Navy announcement put it in motion, why didn't the announcement of the 5 already do tha earlier?

I think this is great news but I don't see how joinIng in 2015 will help th BE tv negotiations without a 12th member and a championship game until 2015 at the earliest......unless the conference is thinking bigger (14)?

navy has alot of TV and bowl contracts that they need to work out so I'm sure thats why they are waiting until 2015

I know why they are waiting.....but I just don't see how waiting until '15 helps our upcoming tv contract, especially since you can't hold a champ game until '15. Don't get me wrong I love the add but we need 12 soon so that the tv deal starts to put out the money as soon as possible and hold a champ game, IMO.

The BE can and are planning to request to have one until they join much like the ACC did

Because the rise to $10M was tied to specific schools. Boise was one, I thought Air Force was one. Maybe it was Boise and one of Air Force or Navy.
