As for Louisville, the expansion of PJCS was completed in early 2010. It increased seating from 42K to 55K. That and Charlie Strong replacing Steve Kragthorpe explains the jump.

What a big drop off b/w '09 & '10 for USF...

2009...beat FSU to start season, only two cupcakes at home and home games with WVU, Lville and Miami, Cinci

2010...lose early to UF, 3 cupcakes at home (which dilutes attendance) plus home games with Cuse, Rutgers, Pitt, Conn

Saw this when the board was down and wanted to post it. I'm pretty surprised our numbers went up, especially with the Louisville attendance, and the disappointing year we had.

I want to see us filling up RJS, but it's hard to complain about being in the top half in attendance. I wouldn't expect us to be ahead of WVU or Louisville, i'm surprised Pitt is above us though.

Swamprat - I also thought it had something to do with Strong's hire, but wasn't aware of the expansion of Ville's stadium.

Tampa is bandwagon. Win, and people will be clamoring for those seats at Ray Jay. We just don't have enough passionate Bulls alumni yet, but we can certainly corner the "unaffiliated" market with some key wins and some buzz next year.
