Obviously I do not watch UCF games so what happened to this kid...I thought he was excellent last year

Godfrey got his release today but cannot play for a CUSA or Big East team.

Wonder if he gives Miami a look? He could fill an ATH/WR/RB/Percy Harvin role there, since Lamar Miller is going into the NFL draft as of today. They have Stephen Morris now and who else? I know they got a QB commit in 2011, but dunno if he could come in and get playing time since he has some experience.

With JG, you get two for one...JG and Uncle Luke. He was great last year, this year he struggled.

Godfrey was 319-of-471 passing for 4,057 yards, 18 touchdowns and 13 interceptions during 25 games. He set a school record with a 67.7 career completion percentage. Former UCF star and NFL quarterback Daunte Culpepper ranks second with a 63.9 completion percentage.

Not half bad, but it wasn't done on the SEC.

Bortles is simply a much better passer...see the field better....and kept the receivers much busier catching long passes. Good Luck JG.

And then this..... "University of Central Florida quarterback Jeff Godfrey has been declared ineligible for the spring semester, per university policy."

They did add, it is not because of any NCAA issue.....and nothing more will be released. Had a bad set of finals? Who knows.
