what a stupid post...

to act as if leavitt would have us in a different situation is laughable at best.

We need to see if Skip is the guy to take us to the next level. Leavitt was not. I'll let you know if skip is in about 2-3 years.

To act as if Leavitt wouldn't have had us in a different situation is laughable at best .... What I do know is that we never started conference play at 0-2 under him and this is making me a tad uncomfortable ... like the early signs of jock itch.

Just as laughable to assume that he would.

You didn't see what I did there ....  ;)

I'll always love and appreciate Leavitt for the things he did for this football program, but the football team had stopped progressing IMO. Will we start progressing and start competing for conference titles under Holtz? I don't know that (nobody does for certain), but it was happening anymore before Holtz, so at the very least, Holtz leaves the program in the same state it was in when he got here

That's not true ... the team may have plateaued under CJL, but it hadn't bottomed out. I really don't want to think about the very least that can happen, I don't think it will under Holtz, but things CAN get worse than they were under Leavitt.
