Sticking it to the ACC

I saw this somewhere else and thought it was too funny to not share.

Remaining football schools have a meeting.  Kick out Syracuse but force Pittsburg to stay until 2014.  ACC gets stuck with 13 teams for 2 years and Pittsburg still counts towards our AQ status when it is reviewed in 2014.

I like the schedule concept of having EX-Cuse and the Pitt Quitters play on short weeks against BE opponents coming off of bye weeks.  Sometimes your the Hammer and sometimes your the Nail.

I like the original idea of this thread.  Tell Cuse and Pitt that one of them leaves for the ACC now and pays a $20M exit fee and the other has to wait 27 months and then pay the $5M.  Let them duke it out and decide - the BE gets $20M now and the ACC gets screwed for 2 years.

I agree. I'd be ******* ecstatic right now if USF had ditched the Big East for the ACC. Sucks for USF (and the rest of the league) that it was Pitt and Syracuse that did it, but it's no reason to hate them. Not a valid reason, anyway.

a.) Pitt's wins wouldn't count toward our AQ status. TCU's Rose Bowl win actually counts for the Big East. Why would the equivalent end up counting for Pitt and the Big East? If Pitt goes to the Orange Bowl this year, the ACC will get credited with 2 teams in the 2011-12 Orange Bowl when evaluations are made.

b.) I do like the idea though. Give them ****** Cuse. No harm done in football, and the basketball is good enough to stand on its own easily. It makes the ACC awkwardly unbalanced.
