everyone would take AW over white

everyone

everyone would take AW over white

everyone

Including all the pros (coaches and players) that coached him in the elite 11. Please don't judge his senior performance. Not when his high school coaches are ucf alum.

Pretty much.... This is part of the reason I'm leaning toward White. Kid has a good head on his shoulders... is a competitor... but more importantly made a commitment and stuck by it with NO DRAMA. The more I think about it the less I like the idea of a guy who's all over twitter and everywhere else managing this team.

Sounds like sour grapes.

I'll take AW in a heartbeat. He's a kid, he's humble, and he's hungry.

How is it sour grapes? I've seen both White and AW play in person in game conditions and in my opinion White has a more mature skill set. AW has potential... and that's all it is because in two seasons he hasn't shown much during a game on the field when it comes to what we need which is game maturity and good decision making. AW won a skills contest as well as some 7 on 7 contests. White won a 3A POY and a state championship.

How is that sour grapes when I'd rather go with the known package. All we are going to need our QB to do is hand off to our power back or throw quick accurate passes and make sound decisions. That's White's game to a T.

Im not saying your completely wrong, but your basing most of your opinion on the teams success. AW had no talent with awful coaching around him, while White was surrounded with talent at every position. Not to mention, theres a huge difference in 3A football, and the 6/7 A level, especially here in Florida. Once again, I still think White can be solid, but lets not discredit AW just because he's causing drama here. The kid is a flat out baller and has IT. We would be extremely lucky to have him on our team. Anyone who thinks other wise has either mentally convinced themselves he's not that good, or just doesn't know football.

The difference between 3a and 6a is the school size (Winter Park is in the new 8a div, btw). You can have superstars at small schools. For example, Cris Collingsworth went to Astronaut HS in Titusville, a 3a school. He was a first team All American. Yeah, 3a teams are generally worse overall because of the smaller amount of potential players, but you don't judge individual players based on school division. 3a football in Florida and Texas is actually pretty competitive. And being bigger doesn't mean better, Winter Park sucked because of lack of talent at key positions.

This. Said it as soon as the kid commited. His team is an exact make up of what USF is at the WR skill position. They have baunch of good solid wideouts on that team and he lite it up. Kid is deadly accurate as well. I am not stressing over AW anymore, Coach T knows he has a secert weapon in White. Would you like to get AW? Sure but nothing to worry about anymore. Much more worried about running back.

WP sucked because their coaches suck. Im not going to argue about tbis because its not even close. 6A is ALWAYS better than 3A. Its not even close. Yeah, there sre superstars in 3A. But on that team, you will also have 5 or 6 players that wouldnt start at the majority of 5 or even 6A schools

There was a 3 star WR this season. And the year before, Dvario Montgomery. Matter of fact, last year the team was preseason top 25 in the state in one poll I saw.

Um, no. I saw WP this season. The team wasn't good at all, except at QB.

6A always better than 3A? Didn't White's team just finish the year top 10 nationally? Ahead of EVERY single team in Florida, including all the 6AM powerhouses?

Overall its always better. Yeah, some low A schools are crazy good, but if you took the 2nd or 3rd best team in each district and played each other, it would be a joke most of the time. With that said, it is the state of Florida so just about every school has 1 or 2 athletes

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
